Objective

The aim of the internship is that the student is able to work in good dialogue and interaction in accordance with ethical principles in customer situations and work communities. The student becomes competent in the process of evaluating, producing and handing over prosthetics and orthotics that promote the client’s participation and functional capacity. The student self-assesses and develops their own activities. The student’s key professional competences and expertise are systematically enhanced as the studies progress.

Content

- Goal-driven, guided and assessed activities in workplace learning environments.
- The student is required to practice their skills in various learning environments in the world of work during their studies.
- Documentation of rehabilitation

Prerequisites

The student’s competence must correspond to the requirements of the organisation where the internship is undertaken. The progress of the studies is also taken into consideration when the studies are planned.

- Student uses professional knowledge base consistently
- Student searches for knowledge and justifies the use of sources
- Student justifies actions by means of evidence-based knowledge

- Student applies professional skills to different situations
- Student can act in a client-oriented way
- Student solves professional tasks and problems

ETHICS, COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT
- Student ensures safety and in accordance with the ethical principles of the field
- Student acts as an expert in multidisciplinary groups with people with diverse cultural backgrounds
- Student develops oneself

Assessment criteria, good (3)

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE BASE
- Student applies professional concepts and knowledge fluently and diversely
- Student evaluates and uses evidence-based knowledge critically

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND ACTIONS
- Student applies professional skills with a sense of
anticipation and is capable of independent decision-making in different situations
- Student acts responsibly and in a client-oriented way
- Student applies alternative solutions to professional decision-making

ETHICS, COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT
- Student evaluates professional activities and safety according to the ethical principles of the field
- Student acts as an expert of the field in multidisciplinary groups and projects in cooperation with people
with diverse cultural backgrounds
- Student develops work community and oneself

- Student shows great proficiency in professional knowledge base and applies it as a dedicated professional
- Student searches for international, evidencebased knowledge independently and uses and evaluates it critically

- Student applies professional skills with a sense of
anticipation and is capable of independent decision-making in different situations and operating environments
- Student assumes responsibility for the client/patient’s overall care and service process within health care
- Student creates innovative and alternative solutions for professional decision-making

ETHICS, COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT
- Student develops professional activities and safety according to the ethical principles of the field
- Student develops professional activities as an expert in multidisciplinary groups and projects in cooperation
with people with diverse cultural backgrounds

- Student does not use client-oriented approach

- Student does not adequately consider safety and ethical principles of the field
- Student is not able to participate in group or development work
