Objective

The aim of the internship is that the student is able to work in good dialogue and interaction in accordance with ethical principles in customer situations and work communities. The student becomes competent in the process of evaluating, producing and handing over prosthetics and orthotics that promote the client’s participation and functional capacity. The student self-assesses and develops their own activities. The student’s key professional competences and expertise are systematically enhanced as the studies progress.

Content

- Goal-driven, guided and assessed activities in workplace learning environments.
- The student is required to practice their skills in various learning environments in the world of work during their studies.
- Documentation of rehabilitation

Prerequisites

The student’s competence must correspond to the requirements of the organisation where the internship is undertaken. The progress of the studies is also taken into consideration when the studies are planned.

- Student ensures safety and in accordance with the ethical principles of the field
- Student acts as an expert in multidisciplinary groups with people with diverse cultural backgrounds

- Student applies professional concepts and knowledge fluently and diversely
- Student evaluates and uses evidence-based knowledge critically

anticipation and is capable of independent decision-making in different situations
- Student acts responsibly and in a client-oriented way
- Student applies alternative solutions to professional decision-making

- Student assumes responsibility for the client/patient’s overall care and service process within health care
