Objective
Students are familiar with the key elements of ethical thinking, key ethical perspectives, concepts, principles and theories, and are able to apply them when making professional decisions. Students are able to assess the ethical consequences of their actions. They will be familiar with the general perspectives of justice and be able to assess their practical social and political consequences. They will be able to assess the ethicality and fairness of decisions taken in complex and controversial situations.
Students will have an in-depth understanding of the specific ethical issues and their preconditions in their professional and disciplinary fields and at the interface between different disciplines. They will understand the diversity and limitations of ethical principles in the search for possible solutions to ethical dilemmas. In particular, they will be able to take into account the requirements of case sensitivity in the cases they examine. Students will be able to identify possible solutions on the basis of their own experience and professional and academic knowledge, and to seek solutions to problems. They will return to the principles and principles of ethical reasoning as necessary, and will be able to apply them to the evaluation of alternative solutions in order to find the best solution and means to reach that solution.
