Objective
The student has an overview of renewable energy sources in the energy management. The student knows the operation and regulations of wood chips boiler plants and/or heat pumps. The student can dimension the plant and design its operation schema.
Content
The shares of energy production and use. Wood as a fuel for heating plant. Heat pumps. Solar heating and photovoltaic cells.

The student is able to design the operation schema and dimension the main components of biomass plant and/or heat pump plant according to instructions.

The student is able to design the operation schema and dimension the main components of biomass plant and/or heat pump plant independently.

The student is able to design the schema and dimension the main components of biomass plant and/or heat pump plant independently and give reasons of his/her choices.
