The aim of the Data Center Facility Expert programme is to increase the knowledge on the construction, use and maintenance of data centers.
The target groups of the programme are experienced professionals in the fields of electrical and HVAC installations and building automation systems, but who lack the skills and knowledge of the construction and maintenance of modern data center facilities.
The programme is intended for professionals with an engineering or other applicable degree, and those with adequate skills. The studies corresponds to the learning outcomes for EQF level 7 (Master degree).
Development
Erikoistumiskoulutuksen tavoitteiden määrittely on tehty
yhteistyössä työelmän edustajien kanssa. Tavoitteiden määritteyyn ovat osallistuneet yrityksistä Coromatic Oy, Granlund Oy, Eezy Osk, Wakaru Oy, DCI-Ratkaisut Oy, CSC-Tieteen tietotekniikan keskus Oy, Fujitsu Finland Oy, Rittal Oy, Goodform Oy, TeliaSonera Oy sekä Helsingin ja Uudenmaan sairaanhoitopiiri. Yritykset osallistuivat datakeskusrakentamisen osaamiskartoituskyselyyn ja lisäksi kahta keskeisintä yritystä (Rittal Oy ja Coromatic Oy) haastateltiin yleiskuvan muodostamista varten tarkemmin. Lisäksi datakeskusten rakentamiseen erikoistuneiden yritysten perustaman yhdistys Finnish Data Center Forum, jossa on noin 60 yritysjäsentä toimitti käyttöömme keväällä 2015 tehdyn oman kyselynsä tulokset. Kyselyn tuloksista käy ilmi että 55 % vastaajista pitää tarjolla olevaa koulutusta riittämättömänä
