Learning outcomes
The student will be able to
• identify questions and needs for development in their professional field and working life and plan solutions to them in accordance with the principles of sustainable development
• use reliable information from various sources to base and frame their work
• apply their professional knowledge and appropriate methods and working methods in their development work.

• Familiarisation with the thesis process
• Contractual and permitting practices
• Familiarisation with the environment and planning of cooperation with working life
• Identifying the need for development
• Source-critical information gathering in Finnish and English
• Choice of working methods and methodologies
• Specifying the topic
• Drawing up and presenting a development plan
Prerequisites
Competence in research and development methods in accordance with the curriculum.

Aihe nousee työelämän tarpeesta. Aihe täsmentyy kurssin kuluessa yhteistyössä työelämän kanssa. Prosessi edellyttää jatkuvaa yhteistyötä työelämäkumppanin kanssa. Opnt-työryhmä suunnittelee ja sopii yhteistyökumppanin kanssa yhteistyön muodoista.
