Learning outcomes

The student learns creative music-making in a small band setting. The student understands the roles of the instruments in the band, is able to arrange and orchestrate music for them, can rehearse a band, and act as an active and creative member of a group. The student knows how to make music with their own instrument and the band by means of improvisation. The student is able to communicate about their own music-making orally, in writing and by means of recordings. The student can explore and realize the music of others by making transcriptions and understands the significance of good musical notation in transmitting musical information. The student knows how to use musical notation software at an elementary level. The student is target-oriented and is able to prepare a concert production as a member of a team.

- Attending tuition
- Completing and submitting the given exercises and assignments according to the agreed schedule
- Writing and rehearsing at least two new songs (at least one of them must be written individually)
