Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the students are able to:
• utilize information technology in trend tracking.
• design brand labels and badges.
• design patterns and embroideries and make their manufacturing instructions.
• design and instruct the colorways for patterns in a cost effective way.
• use image editing and graphic software for advanced purposes.

Content

Advancing skills in image editing and graphic software. Development of instructional skills. Pattern, placed print, embroidery and label design on various products and their manufacturing instructions. Aesthetical coloring of patterns and their instructions. Different labels of clothing for different use, taking into account the design basis. Trend tracking from the Internet, fashion magazines and professional color systems.

Prerequisites

Competencies corresponding to the goals of the following courses:
Visualization of Body and Clothing; Design Software in Fashion and Clothing; Clothing Design and Commercialization.
