Objective
Students
- have working knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
- can plan, implement and evaluate safe pharmacotherapy as members of multiprofessional teams
- are proficient in the dosage calculations required in the administration of medication and infusions

Pharmacotherapy and drug calculation theory can be studied by web course for students, who have prestudies from pharmacotherapy.
NOTE! PARTICIPATION ON THE ORIENTATION IS COMPULSORY!

Further information
Pharmacotherapy includes pharmacotherapy theory and clinical laboratory, drug calculation and one lession about pharmacology 1 that takes 4 hours. Pharmacotherapy and Pharmacology are included in final exam. Drug calculation exam is done during drug calculation theory. Participating the first Orientation lession is obligatory and is requirement for participation for the course. Theory lessions include active participation in face to face learning.
Clinical laboratory lessions are obligatory and the possible learning tasks concerning the lession subject must be returned in time before lessions. During clinical laboratory lessons the students must work aseptically and actively considenring patient safety.
