Objective

Student
- is able to describe preventive oral hygiene methods
- identifies oral hygiene instruments, equipment and materials
- is able to explain the ecological and financial impacts of their operations, and take responsibility for them
- is able to use instruments, equipment, devices and materials for preventive treatment
- adopts ergonomic working methods as part of their professionalism
- understands the key content of occupational safety in health care
- complies with occupational safety regulations and maintains occupational safety through their own action
-understands the job descriptions of the various professional groups in oral hygiene

Practical training in a simulation environment
Methods for oral self-care and prevention of oral diseases
Instruments, equipment and materials used in oral hygiene
Ecological and financial aspects of oral hygiene
Principles of physiological work
Occupational safety in the health sector
Ergonomic working, transferring patients safely
Work placement:
Learning about oral hygiene operating environments

Further information

Compulsory attendance at classes and in Skills lab.
Skills lab-sessions consists of lecture (first) and practical training. Lectures begins at 8.30 or 12.30 when attendance is required. If a student is late 15 minutes or more, he/she may not partisipate the lecture later, after next break.
If non-attendance, student is obligated to acquire knowledge and skills independently.

The student confirms his/her participation in the course by being present at the beginning of the first lesson or by agreeing on it with the teacher in other ways.
