Objective

CAD
The student is able to draw HVAC drawings of a simple building using CAD design software.

BIM
Student can
- Can convert the dwg-model he draws into an ifc-format data model
- Can view and make observations about the ifc-model in the data modeling application

Content

CAD: HVAC drawings. The basics of CAD design. Making simple HVAC designs for a single family house using a CAD application.

• Introduction to BIM
• IFC basics and information exchange

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to prepare the HVAC plans of a simple building holistically with the help and instructions and to make them work as a single entity to serve the building using a CAD design program. The student understands the basics of using data modeling.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

In addition to the above, the student is able to apply a CAD design program and independently draw up plans

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the above, the student is able to apply a CAD design program and independently draw up plans at an almost error-free level.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student is able to prepare the HVAC plans of a simple building holistically with the help and instructions and to make them work as a single entity to serve the building using a CAD design program. The student understands the basics of using data modeling.
