Objective

The student will be able to

- structure and justify the stages of rehabilitation development and analyse their significance for rehabilitation clients in the context of future-oriented rehabilitation development
- apply the terminology and theories of rehabilitation in partnership-based cooperation involving the rehabilitants, their environment, and professionals
- evaluate and promote the development of sustainable rehabilitation and recovery solutions in the everyday life of rehabilitants and within diverse networks, utilising co-creation

- Concepts and theories of rehabilitation
- The rehabilitation process in the everyday life of the rehabilitation client
- Promoting the participation, agency, and functional capacity of rehabilitants
- Interactive cooperation and co-creation in rehabilitation and recovery

Workshops and co-creation methods are utilized during the online sessions to deepen learning. In addition, students engage with the course materials and literature independently and complete learning assignments.The course is conducted in using the Moodle online learning environment.

The course does not include exams. There is no possibility for renew exams or grade improvement in this course.

If the assignment does not meet the criteria for an accepted work (pass), the student has the possibility to complete the task based on the given feedback.

The course is Master's level (EQF level 7). More details and material related to study module are found in Moodle.

The course includes a seminar for demonstrating competence. If a student is unable to attend the seminar, the absence must be compensated with a substitute assignment.

In case the student has received a decision for individual support, which can affect the completion of the study unit, the student should be in touch with the responsible teacher of the study unit directly after the ending of the enrollment period.

Materials and assignments created by the teacher are protected under the Copyright law (404/61), and the teacher holds the copyright to these creations. Materials may not be used other than in your own studies. The public distribution of these is only allowed with the teacher's permission.

In the course assignments, sources that are suitable for and/or defined by the course objectives must be utilized, and AI can support your own thinking. However, the text or content of the assignments cannot be generated by AI. If you use AI in an assignment, it must be clearly documented in the assignment by describing which AI program or application was used and how. Collaboration Competence
The voice of the stakeholders is heard. General ethical values guide the action. Sets of activities are produced by combining complex matters in a one-dimensional manner.

Change Competence
A common goal is agreed upon, and the action is carried out in parallel. Good current practices are analyzed and applied. Existing networks are utilized. The change is evaluated in a declarative manner. An encouraging atmosphere is built.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Collaboration Competence
The participation of stakeholders is enabled. Ethics is reflected in the interaction. Sets of activities are produced collaboratively with the stakeholders at the interfaces in a multifaceted manner.

Change Competence
The goal is built together, and it guides collaboration. Controlled change processes are implemented, renewing current practices. Action takes place at the interfaces of networks. The conditions for operations, processes, and results are evaluated in a way that guides the activity. An open and trustworthy atmosphere is built.

Collaboration Competence
The stakeholders are understood as active development partners. The needs of the stakeholders guide the joint development. A shared value base is defined in relation to the activity. The stakeholders collectively build meaningful and innovative activities to strengthen well-being and functional capacity.

The goal is formed through a shared process, and the activity is based on partnership and shared understanding. The future is anticipated and something new is created. Networks are renewed to cross interfaces. The evaluation is carried out proactively and in a way that develops the activity. A creative and innovative atmosphere is built.

Failed:
Collaboration Competence
The perspective of the stakeholders is not made visible. The ethical perspectives of the activity are overlooked. Sets of activities are not produced, and the stakeholders are not considered.

Change Competence
A common goal has not been agreed upon, or it has been set unilaterally. The development of practices is not evident. Networks are not utilized. The evaluation of the change is not evident. The building of the atmosphere is not considered.

Assessment methods and criteria

The learning assignment is assessed with a numerical grade on a scale of 0–5.

Assignment: 0–5
Active participation in the seminar may raise the final grade for the course.
