Objective

The students are able to assess their competency needs and develop their versatile competencies in live performance engineering by acquiring essential supplemetary competencies. The students get acquainted with a professional field supplementing or supporting their present competencies and are able to apply their learning in a tehcnological-artistic production process. The students are able to use technology in a wider manner in their own professional field, and are able to recognize the effects of technological development in the field of live performance engineering.

Study unit consists of specialized workshops agreed in personal study plan.
Each specialized workshop can consist of lectures, workshops and learning assignments.

Exam schedules

Each specialised course must be taken according to the semester timetable. When all the agreed sections have been completed, the HOPS instructor will record the implementation as completed.

Content scheduling

The course is taken as specialised courses as agreed in the HOPS meeting. The schedule of special courses will be published in the Teknotiedotus work space each semester.

Further information

The course requires at least 80% attendance. The procedure for replacing the absence is agreed with the teacher in charge of the course unit. The schedule of the course can be found in Lukkari. Further information about the workshops in the course can be found in a separate document. All parts of the course must be completed successfully.

Assessment methods and criteria

Participation and activity in specialised courses 100%

By returning an online exam or online assignment, students demonstrate that their demonstration of competence is based on independent work and ethical behaviour. Failure to do so may result in suspension from the UAS for up to one year. Act on Universities of Applied Sciences 932/2014, Section 38. In order to ensure the independent demonstration of competence in online learning, the teacher may, at his/her discretion, require the demonstration of competence under supervised conditions or by means of an oral examination. The teacher will inform the student of the method of demonstrating competence at the latest at the beginning of the course

The students and the study councelor agree on the supplementary studies in curriculum discussions. Precise lIearning outcomes and evaluation criteria are defined according to courses chosen. Possible contents of the In addition to advanced studies, Technical applications course may consist of studies in electric engineering, technical planning and production, mathematics or physics, or software and information networks.
