Objective

During the course, the student develops their industrial design skills by familiarising themselves with the product design requirements of the customer, the product and the end user. The student will be able to identify problem areas related to the product being designed and to solve them by means of industrial design. The student learns to recognise the importance of industrial design as a factor affecting the cost structure and quality of a product. The student is able to take into account the effects of manufacturing, material, economic and ecological factors on the final product. The student learns how to make 3D CAD design data from the most common instant model technologies, using sophisticated physical models as well as computer visualisations. The student learns about the methods used to make computer aids and the conditions that they place on 3D CAD files.
