• can apply design thinking in their activities
• can also assess the inadequacies of design thinking.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student
• is familiar with the basics of design thinking and knows the differences and similarities between different design theories and methods
• can demonstrate the role of design thinking in design work
• has a basic understanding of the criticism towards design thinking
• knows the basics of design-related facilitation.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student
• can analyse the philosophy of design thinking and compare different design theories and methods
• is able to apply design thinking in their design work
• can evaluate the challenges of design thinking and possible future trends
• can facilitate sub-processes related to design work.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student
• can critically and creatively evaluate the philosophy of design thinking and can reflect on the different aspects of design theories and methods
• can apply design thinking in their design work
• is able to participate in the discussion about the challenges of design thinking and possible future developments
• can facilitate and further develop sub-processes related to design work.
