Objective

The student
• recognises and becomes familiar with one of the current trends in design
• is aware of the opportunities and also the potential threats of the trend and is able to take these into account when making design choices.

Content

During the course, students become familiar with current phenomena in the field of design. These may include social media platforms, virtual reality, the use of artificial intelligence in design work, among others.

The student recognises the opportunities presented by current design trends and technologies in digital communication.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to analyse the impact of current design trends and technologies on design and end products. The student is able to assess the impact of the changing design landscape on their own work, processes and tools.

The student can creatively and critically evaluate the impact of current design trends and technologies on design and end products. The student can reflect and compare the impact of the changing design landscape on their own work, processes and tools.
