Objective

The student comprehends the concept of sustainability and knows how to adapt that into sustainable design process. The student knows the principles of sustainable design. Students knowledge of systematic thinking, circular economy, life cycle thinking, eco-efficiency, and material efficiency will increase. The students knowledge of social and economic sustainability in design will increase. The student is able to utilize environmental management systems and environmental legislation to develop their expertise.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is familiar with the concepts, theoretical basis and models of sustainable design and sustainable development in design processes. He knows the principles of sustainable design. The student recognizes the importance of systemic thinking, circular economy, life cycle thinking, eco-efficiency and material efficiency. The student outlines environmental systems and environmental legislation.

The student masters the concepts, theoretical basis and models of sustainable design and sustainable development in practical design processes. He knows how to apply the principles of sustainable design. The student masters the importance of systemic thinking, circular economy, life cycle thinking, eco-efficiency and material efficiency. The student is able to utilize environmental systems and environmental legislation to develop his / her expertise.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student extensively masters the concepts, theoretical basis and models of sustainable design and sustainable development in practical design processes. He is able to creatively and reasonably apply the principles of sustainable design. The student understands the importance of systemic thinking, circular economy, life cycle thinking, eco-efficiency and material efficiency. The student understands and is able to make extensive use of environmental systems and environmental legislation to develop his / her expertise.
