After completing this course, the student

• can identify development needs in their own field, outline a research topic and choose an appropriate research method to address the research question

• can write an academic paper pertaining to their professional field and justify their arguments
• knows the principles of expository, research and industry-specific writing

In addition to teacher-led meetings, the implementation has independent individual tasks to be completed between meetings. Calendar reservations for independent work have also been marked for the implementation.
Further information
The course utilizes the Teams workspace. Space use only with Metropolia IDs. Those registered for the implementation will be added to the workspace.

Students can write an academic paper, justify their arguments and present their topic in a clear manner.

They are able to find and critically review relevant source material and use the material comprehensively to form the information basis for their paper. Students can write an academic paper, justify their arguments and present their topic in a clear and informative manner. Students are able to produce new and relevent information for the field of live performance engineering.
