Objective

The student
• knows the workflow of film production
• is able to define the desired shooting settings for the video camera
• can plan the shooting, shoot with the camera and record sound
• understands the basics of film lighting
• knows the main working environments and job descriptions in typical film productions.

• Frame rate, exposure time and colour temperature
• Camera characteristics
• Technical characteristics of digital video
• Sound and recording basics
• Sound synchronization and dubbing
• Project management and teamwork

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student
• can produce video and audio material in the desired format
• understands the main principles of video production workflow
• participates in a filming project as appropriate to their role.

The student
• applies their audiovisual skills to produce video and audio material in the desired format
• is an active member of a team in a filming project
• take cares of their own defined responsibilities.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student
• applies their audiovisual skills to produce high-quality video and audio material in the desired format
• works well as a member of a team on a filming project
• fulfills their assigned responsibilities in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Fundamentals of Cinematic Storytelling, Photography or equivalent knowledge
