Objective
After completing the course, the students are able to:
• understand the importance of purchasing and selling in the clothing business.
• recognize the elements of the purchasing process and the different stages of making a sale.
• understand the key elements of a company's product assortment, in terms of both purchasing and selling.
Content
Basics of purchasing and selling in the clothing business. Product management: breadth and depth of assortments. Assortment planning by delivery time, budgeting, commercialization and pricing, ordering and invoicing. Impact of delivery sizes on cash flow and sales. Selection of suppliers. Choosing sales channels. Purchase and sale negotiations. Management of client relations. Principles of software used for purchasing and product management.
