Objective

After completing the course, you will be able to model 3D constructs and create assemblies from them. You will be able to effectively use the features of a drawing-based 3D modelling program and understand the logic of modelling.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

You will understand the principle of feature-based modelling and be able to make use of the most common parameters offered by CAD software. Understand the requirements for modelling the most common machine parts.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

You can use software parameters to create feature-based models. You can model the most common machine parts.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

You are proficient in feature-based modelling and know how to use and apply the CAD software tools effectively and in a variety of ways. You can model the most common machine components and make them usable for simulation and parameterisation.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

You will understand the principle of feature-based modelling and be able to make use of the most common parameters offered by CAD software. Understand the requirements for modelling the most common machine parts.
