Objective

On completion of the course the student can
- understand the basics of financial management
- interpret business indicators and analyze business risks and opportunities
- understand the basics of accounting
- make financial calculations for starting and running a business
- price their products and their own work as an entrepreneur, and assess the risks in entrepreneurship
- manage the fundamentals of payroll
- manage the basics of taxation
- identify the specific features of cultural enterprise finances

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to interpret business indicators. The student understands the financial framework for starting, running and closing a business and is able to price their own work. The student understands the basics of payroll and business taxation.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is good at interpreting the key figures of business. The student understands the financial framework of starting, running and closing a company, is able to price their own work as well as justify the pricing. They are proficient in payroll and business taxation.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to analyze activities from the perspective of entrepreneurship, profitability and risks. They are able to analyze business start-ups, management and closure from financial perspectives. The student is able to price their own work as well as justify the pricing from many perspectives. They are proficient in payroll and business taxation.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student is able to interpret business indicators. The student understands the financial framework for starting, running and closing a business and is able to price their own work. The student understands the basics of payroll and business taxation.

Qualifications

Approved completion of the course Financial Administration in Event Management (5 cr) or equivalent competence.
