Objective

The student knows the basics of life cycle analysis and the standards that define the principles of life cycle assessment. The student is able to use life cycle analysis to compare different systems, production stages and impacts on the environment. The student will have a good knowledge of the basics of statistical mathematics.

- Basics of the circular economy
- Confidence intervals and statistical inference using them
- Defining life cycle analysis objectives and product system
- Inventory analysis and impact assessment
- Assessing uncertainties and drawing conclusions
- Carbon footprint

The student knows the basics of statistical mathematics. The student understands the importance of life cycle assessment of products and processes. The student understands the steps of life cycle analysis.

The student is able to analyse a product or a simple process through life cycle analysis. The student understands the importance of the circular economy for society. The student can evaluate the climate and environmental impact of processes and products.

The student is able to apply life cycle analysis to the analysis of products and processes. The student can assess and calculate the climate and environmental impacts of processes and products. The student understands the importance of the circular economy for growth and competitiveness.
