Objective
Students
- can adopt a client-oriented approach to their public health nurses’ work with schoolchildren and young people
- are able to apply the key competence required by the clinical practice environment to public health nursing of schoolchildren and young people
- follow the ethical regulations and principles of nursing and the ethical recommendations on public health nursing
- are competent in working life skills
- work as representatives of public health nursing in the multi-actor environment of school and student health care
- identify development needs of health promotion in school and student health care
- are able to evaluate their competence and develop it further

Location and time
Internships include:
- Primary school (primary and secondary together)
- Comprehensive school (upper school and upper secondary school)
- Cocational training school
- Upper secondary school
- FSHS, not in Jobiili district, to be applied for separately
It is possible to do the internship in different parts of Finland, the validity of the agreement with Metropolia is always checked by the coordinator of the internship
No training for the autumn holiday week.
Note: At the end of the semesters, internships are not desirable at schools, as there are few health examinations at the time.
