Local Master Planning (5 cr)

Objective

After having completed the course the student knows the juridical, administrative and contentual process of creating a local master plan. The student understands the meaning of local master plan in the land use planning system and in the guidance of the urban structure. The student can apply and analyze different GIS data material in the creation of the local master plan. The student can create the local master plan with a GIS software including the plan symbols, reason the made plan solutions and evaluate the impacts of the local master plan.

Content

National Land Use Objectives, regional planning, different types of local master plans, required content of the local master plan, background studies and reports, creation process, interaction, legal consequences, urban structure, review of residual property units, dimensioning, creation of theme maps, structural models and the local master plan with a GIS software, creation of plan symbols and plan provisions as well as the impact evaluation of the local master plan, reasoning of the plan solutions

Location and time

16 opetuskertaa, joista kuusi on läsnäolopakollisia.

Myllypuron kampus, maanantaisin klo 12-16.

20.1. pidämme seminaarin sekä käymme maastossa (klo 9-16).

28.4. esitellään kurssin harjoitustyöt ja kyseinen päivä on varattava kokonaan

Teaching methods

Kurssiin sisältyy luentoja sekä harjoitustöitä. Harjoitustöihin sisältyy yksi maastokäynti, joka ajoittuu 20.1.

Osana kurssita on laadittava seuraavat tuotokset:
- suunnittelutilanne (Word)
- teemakartta (mieluiten QGIS tai vastaava) - ryhmätyö
- tulevaisuuskuva (mieluiten QGIS tai vastaava) - ryhmätyö
- rakennemalli (mieluiten QGIS tai vastaava) - ryhmätyö

- osayleiskaavakartta (QGIS) ja –määräykset (QGIS/Word) - itsenäinen työ
- kaavaratkaisun selostus ja kaavan vaikutusten arviointi (Word) - itsenäinen työ

Ryhmätöihin tulee osallistua ja itsenäiset työt myös laatia sovituissa aikamääreissä. Työt esitellään ja esittelyihin on osallistuttava.

Assessment methods and criteria

Kurssi arvostellaan asteikolla 1-5.

Kaavakartta ja -määräykset (80 % arvosanasta)
Vaikutusten arviointi (10 %)
Kaavaratkaisun selostus (10 %).

Lisäksi tulee osallistua teemakartta-, tulevaisuuskuva- ja rakennemallitehtäviin hyväksytysti sekä kaavan esittelyyn. Ryhmätyöt arvioidaan hyväksytty/ hylätty.
