Objective
The student will be able to
• identify questions and needs for development in their professional field and working life and plan solutions to them in accordance with the principles of sustainable development
• use reliable information from various sources to base and frame their work
• apply their professional knowledge and appropriate methods and working methods in their development work.
Content
• Familiarisation with the thesis process
• Contractual and permitting practices
• Familiarisation with the environment and planning of cooperation with working life
• Identifying the need for development
• Source-critical information gathering in Finnish and English
• Choice of working methods and methodologies
• Specifying the topic
• Drawing up and presenting a development plan

When the process start there is compulsory attendance for orientation!
See OMA schedule for the days (workshops, seminars etc) that require attendance.
Research Methods course must be started/completed prior commencing the thesis process
Next phases are: Execution of the thesis and Reporting of the thesis and maturity test enrollment to these after Planning phase is successfully completed
