Textile Materials (5 cr)

Objective

The student knows the names, properties, production and finishing methods, maintenance and washing instructions of textile materials. The student is able to evaluate the environmental impact of the textile materials used and to make appropriate choices at the design stage. The student is able to perform fibre material analyzes in the laboratory and is familiar with the requirements of textile tests.

The student is familiar with textile raw materials from the perspective of production, trade and the user. The student is well aware of the environmental impacts caused by the production and use of textiles and is able to make appropriate choices at the design stage. The student masters the identification methods of the most common textile fibers.

The student masters textile raw materials from the perspective of production, trade and the user. The student knows very well the environmental impacts caused by the production and use of textiles and is able to make appropriate choices at the design stage. The student is well versed in the identification methods of the most common textile fibers.
