Objective

The student knows the names, properties, production and finishing methods, maintenance and washing instructions of textile materials. The student is able to evaluate the environmental impact of the textile materials used and to make appropriate choices at the design stage. The student is able to perform fibre material analyzes in the laboratory and is familiar with the requirements of textile tests.

Content

-Names and properties of natural and synthetic fibers
-Textile fiber production and ecology
-Textile innovation and the circular economy
-Basics of Textile Chemistry
-Methods for identifying the most common fibers and for testing textiles

Evaluation scale

0-5
