Objective

After completing the course, students will obtain a full set of production skills from planning and scheduling, through team building and management, troubleshooting and reporting. They will have an understanding of what is needed to make solid estimates, how to set up games milestones and deliver quality games on time and within budget.

Content

The course is focused on game production and different aspects of it. It covers a wide range of common game production practices, to give student realistic overview of how games are produced and what are necessary key skills that they need to master.

It includes:
1. Basics of game production: what it is, who is producer and how it changes throughout games lifecycle
2. Basics of project management, including methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
3. Production tools and how to select them and optimize them
4. Best team management practices and conflict resolution
5. Game production planning and setting up milestones
6. How to produce games on time and within budget, with the right teams
7. How to manage production risk and best communication practices
