Clinical Nursing Practice 1 (8 cr)

Objective

Students
- can apply the theoretical and clinical competence required by the clinical practice environment to the nursing care of clients/patients
- are competent in the necessary procedures and diagnostic examinations as part of the holistic patient care in their clinical practice environment
- can maintain and promote the health of clients/patients and their significant others in a client-oriented way in nursing care
- follow the ethical guidelines and principles of nursing
- act as responsible members of their multiprofessional work group and work community
- identify development needs of nursing care
- are competent in work community skills
- can assess their professional competence and develop it further

Content

Clinical Practice in nursing environment

Location and time

Supervised practice in campus.

Materials

- Mandatory participation in Practice orientation (see the schedules)

- Review the theoretical studies in gerontology and internal medicine in preparation for the practicum.
