Objective

-are able to describe the public oral health service system and the collaboration with different personnel groups
-organize and implement a health coaching event in a family and child care environment
-are able to evaluate, plan and implement oral health care in accordance with patient’s culture and age
-are able to analyze oral health care in a family-centered manner
-know the basic concepts of health economics, with which they are able to evaluate operation in oral health care
- are able to take into account the special needs of children and fear patients, elderly patients and patients with general illnesses and other possible special factors affecting treatment

Further information

Compulsory attendance at the orientation and reflection lectures.
The student will present possible RPL decisions in the orientation lecture.
Earlier clinical studies in teaching clinic and in skills lab must be accomplished.
Approved course requires active presence and attendance in all parts of the course.
Students responsibility is to take care of her/his own accomplishments and replace the absence from the studies.
To accelerate the studies, you need a grade H3 for the previous courses.
Theoretical framework in this course is family care/ communal health promotion.
The student confirms his/her participation in the course by being present at the beginning of the first lesson or by agreeing on it with the teacher in other ways.

Instructions on the use of artificial intelligence during the course are given separately. Students should familiarise themselves with Metropolia's AI guidelines and follow them in their study attainments.
