Objective

The students
-know how to set modality-specific learning targets for training, suited to their personal skill level
-are able to describe, self-evaluate and develop their skills and learning
-are able to interact with and guide patients in different interaction situations on the patients' terms
-are able to prepare patients for an imaging examination or intervention
-know how to go about imaging examinations safely, and apply their expertise in them
-are able to take patient safety into account
-are able to justify and describe any decision made
-are able to operate as members of a work community
-assess and develop radiation safety in their chosen area of expertise
in cooperation with working life

Teaching methods

The course includes guided clinical placement 9 credits (6 weeks), that is reserved according to instructions of the degree programme. Clinical placement goals must be approved by the supervising teacher on the first week of training. You must take account course aims and modality specific aims in making of your own goals for training. You write a learning journal during your training in Workseed which is reserved according to the degree's instructions. The goals of the internship are agreed with the teacher supervising the internship no later than the first week of the internship. When preparing training goals, study course goals and modality-specific goals are taken into account. A learning diary is written about the internship in Workseed.

The study course includes 1 credit unit of project work according to separate instructions, with the theme of working life-oriented project work, which is related to the study course Expertise in Radiation Safety.
