Elective Instrument Studies 2 (5 cr)

Objective

Upon course completion, the student will have broadened their instrumental skills of artistic expression in their chosen style or alternatively learned new modes of expression in a secondary instrument of their choice. Upon course completion, the student's means of artistic expression will have expanded.

Content

Students may choose secondary instrument studies or other additional studies in artistic expression for a total of six hours per semester. The aim of the course is either to broaden one's knowledge of their main instrument in their primary artistic area or to learn modes of expression of a secondary instrument that support those of the main instrument. Teaching is either one-to-one instruction or group learning.

Qualifications

Completed Elective Instrument Studies 1 or equivalent knowledge and skills.
