Objective

The student is able to:
- apply the relevant knowledge and skills required by the clinical practice environment
- perform nursing care in a patient-centered fashion when promoting the health of the patients and his next of kin
- apply the ethical principles and guidances of nursing
- work as a part of professional group and community while applying patient safety principles
- work as a part of a multiprofessional group and takes part in the decision making process relevant to the patient treatment
- guide and support the patient and his next of kin
- evaluate and develop his professional knowledge and skills

Content

- 6 credits clinical practice in acute or prehospital emergency care
- 2 credits of simulation studies and the RN 180 credits stage competence assessment

- combining the RN and emergency nurse competences and using it in prehospital patient needs assessment
- the special circumstances related to the RN and emergency nurse responsibilities and duties
- the ethical special circumstances and interactions related to acute and prehospital emergency care
- the professional evaluation of personal and teamwork

Evaluating competences evaluation criteria and expert is used.

Qualifications

A minimum of 90 credits of clinical nursing studies.
Acute and prehospital emergency care competence.
Relevant previous studies related to the clinical practice environment.
The student and tutor teacher go through other recommended studies in the HOPS discussions.
