Objective

The student learns the basics of operating studio equipment and the environment required for music productions. The student knows the basic principles of listening, sound and acoustics, the operating principles of electronic music devices, and is able to search for information regarding these. The student is able to operate in a studio environment, understands the basics of signal routing, and is able to use this knowledge in practical applications.

The student is able to work collaboratively in the role of a musician, recording engineer or producer and is able to utilize their skills in a recording situation. The student is able to complete assignments according to schedule. The student is able to function in different roles in group settings and understands the processes of successful group work and leadership.

Content

Studio work, basic skills and knowledge of music technology. Preparation, organisation and completion of a recording session. Group and self-evaluation.
