Objective

The student acts as an expert in his/her chosen area of clinical laboratory expertise and participates in the multiprofessional competence development of the work community.
The student anticipates future challenges in his/her chosen area of clinical laboratory expertise and applies the acquired knowledge in developing laboratory work in multiprofessional teams.

The student recognises future challenges in the chosen area of clinical laboratory expertise and makes suggestions for the implementation of acquired knowledge in developing laboratory work in multiprofessional teams.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student acts as an expert in the chosen area of clinical laboratory expertise and suggests procedures for multiprofessional competence development in the work community.
The student is able to specify future challenges in the chosen area of clinical laboratory expertise and to apply acquired knowledge to some extent to the development of laboratory work in multiprofessional teams.

The student acts as an excellent expert in the chosen area of clinical laboratory of expertise and is a versatile developer of multiprofessional competence in the work community.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Health Care (Biomedical Laboratory Science) or other applicable Finnish higher education degree (Bachelor's or Master's degree at a university or UAS) combined with a previously acquired vocational college diploma of a laboratorian. Alternatively, an overseas higher education degree that corresponds to the previously listed Finnish degrees, combined with valid professional practice rights in Finland, or a directive certificate.
