Objective

The student is able to utilize his/her mentoring- and consultation competence as a clinical expert in multi-professional healthcare teams and at customer interfaces.
The student improves guidance and consultation activities by utilizing evidence-based practice in the selected area of clinical laboratory work.

Content

Developing mentoring- and consultation competence in the selected area of clinical expertise and demonstrating one’s own clinical expertise in teams and at customer interfaces.
Promoting mentoring- and consultation culture in the selected expertise area of clinical laboratory services.
Current research and evidence-based practice in mentoring and consultation competence in the selected area of clinical expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Health Care (Biomedical Laboratory Science) or other applicable Finnish higher education degree (Bachelor's or Master's degree at a university or UAS) combined with a previously acquired vocational college diploma of a laboratorian. Alternatively, an overseas higher education degree that corresponds to the previously listed Finnish degrees, combined with valid professional practice rights in Finland, or a directive certificate.
