Objective

The student understands the role of strategic management as a competitive factor in an
organisation. The student knows the tools of strategic management and is able to use them in daily
work. The student can work according to strategic goals and use them in order to develop his own
organisation.

Textbooks Case Studies on "Strategic Management" - "Corporate Strategy" - and "Strategic Entrepreneurship" are juxtaposed
Other texts on Marketing, International Management, Change Management and Project Management are also reviewed (again, since showing the relevance and connection to other subjects is of main importance in understanding Strategic Management)

This is an intense but individual study course - individual consultations will be provided on certain assignments - previous courses will be reviewed relevant to the subject - the focus is more on student work (writings) then feedback rather than lectures and testing

This is an advanced course - so there are prerequisites - the student should have already taken at least one course in Marketing and one in Management - these will be reviewed then tested

The student has achieved the course objectives fairly. The student will be able to identify, define and use the course subject area’s concepts and models. The student understands the criteria and principles of the expertise development.

The student has achieved the course objectives well, even though the knowledge and skills need improvement on some areas.The student is able to define the course concepts and models and are able to justify the analysis. The student is able to apply their knowledge in leisure, study and work situations. The student understands the importance of expertise in the field of business and is able to analyze his/her own expertise.
