Objective
After completing the course, the students are able to:
• assess the coherence between economic efficiency and material efficiency of production in terms of sustainable development.
• explain the importance of different sustainability, ethical and environmental standards.
Content
Environmental load and life cycle analysis of textile fibers, materials and products. Calculation and monitoring of the product's carbon and water footprint and chemical load from the perspective of both the company and the consumer. Environmental standards and certifications for textile materials.
