Objective

After completing the course, the students are able to:
• perceive the effect of different dyeing and finishing methods on the properties and appearance of fabrics and garments.
• use the key testing methods of clothing textiles and evaluate test results based on standards.
• understand the importance of standardized testing as part of material and product design and manufacturing processes.
• describe factors and standards related to garment care and product safety.

Content

Different methods of industrial dyeing, washing, printing and finishing, equipment used for these and the textile materials they produce. Factors and standards related to garment care, and product and chemical safety. Testing equipment and standardized testing methods. Company visits. Fiber and material testing according to standards and interpreting the results.
