Objective

At the end of the course the student is expected to know damages of conventional structures, reasons for them and methods to research defects. Student can make a plan for condition assessments of concrete and rendered structures and indoor problems and carry out research to find out reasons for damages.

Content

Corrosion damages of steel in concrete structures
Weathering of concrete structures
Condition assessment of concrete structures
Defects and condition assessment methods of rendered facades
Mould problems and their assessments
Indoor air problems
Assessment of indoor air problems
Harmful chemicals and their assessment
Reports of condition assessments

Location and time

Dates and classes in schedule. Location Myllypuro.
