Construction project management special study module (5 cr)

Objective

On completion of the course the student will know the principles of construction project and will be able to apply them in project management. The student is familiar with how these themes are connected together and what is their influence to each other.
On completion of the course the student can at least
- describe the principles of sectors of construction project (time management, cost management, quality management, work safety, purchase management, risk management and communication).
- describe how these themes are connected together and what is their influence to each other.

Location and time

As face-to-face teaching at Metropolia's Myllypuro campus. The course starts in week 3 and the exam is held in week 15.

Materials

Lecture material and related class exercises.

Teaching methods

Face-to-face teaching sessions that include lectures and class exercises. There is no obligation to attend to face-to-face teaching, but participation is highly recommended! There is an exam at the end of the course. The course grade is formed based on the exam grade. There are also two retakes of the course.

Exam schedules

The course exam will be held in week 15. After this, two re-exams. The timing of these will be announced after the actual exam.
