Objective

The students can apply and deepen their versatile competencies in live performance engineering. They can develop their technical competencies by working in projects or productions. The students master technical wholes and their applications in professional live performance activity. They understand the technical, live performance related and organizational challenges in live performance engineering. The develop their competencies to act as experts in technological-artistic processes and in management of production processees. They can plan their work, produce technical documentation related to the professional field and report their activities in projects. The students can make decisions in unexpected situations and act in a customer-oriented way. They can adapt their activities in order to achieve long-term goals.

Content

Project studies consist of the development and reflective assessment of key professional skills:
- project management skills
- interaction skills
- technical planning
- versatile competencies in live performance engineering
- development of safety in live performance activities
- management of production processes and expertise in technological-artistic processes.

The project studies consists of various projects, some of which are executed in association with work life partners. Project studies may also contain lectures, workshops or other working methods.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The students understand the different phases of the project. They can plan a timetable for the phases of their work in the project and take into account the safety practices. They need only occasional guidance in various phases of the project. They can produce written reports and technical documentation. They understand the significance of organizing as a part of performance engineering work and are able to work in a group.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The students understand well the phases of the project and the project as a whole. They can plan and organize their own work and the work of a team. They work in projects in a safety-oriented way and master the key technical professional skills of the field. They can produce the technical documents with appropriate software applications and the documentation is presented clearly. They can present the solutions given in the reports and give a rationale for their decisions.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students master the key tools of project planning and is able to plan and organize group work. In their activities the students advance the creation of safe working conditions and safety in work for everyone. The professional technical skills are good and the students are capable even to demanding technical planning. In the reports, the students can present, argue, and give rationale to their decisions in a comprehensive manner. The technical documentation is clear, comprehensive and coherent. The students have good teamwork and organisatory skills.
