Objective
The Student can design a product taking into account its manufacturing and material. He/she is able to read and produce technical drawings, 3D-models and technical documents. The student can create work drawing, choose correct tolarances and surface roughness considering the component’s purpose of usage and the manufacturing technologies. He/she can create 3D-models and 3D-assemblies, which can be utilized e.g in simulation and FEM-analyses.
Content
1 Technical drawing, technical notation and symbols,
2. Tolerances and surface roughness definition including the usage of them in drawings,
3. Process symbols, flow charts, assembly drawings, bill of material,
4. Welding symbols in drawings,
5. Basics of 3D-modelling,
6. 3D-Assemblies and
7. Work drawing, assembly drawings and bill of material creates according to 3D-design.
Evaluation scale
0-5
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The Student can read and produce technical drawings knowing the general manufacturing technologies and materials. He/she can create a 3D-model and 3D-assembly out of the set of components.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
The Student can read, produce and add dimensions in technical drawings knowing the general manufacturing technologies and materials. He/she can choose the correct manufacturing technologies for the components in assembly. The student can create an assembly drawing, bill of material and number of working drawings according his/her 3D-designs.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The Student can read, produce and add dimensions in technical drawings including the tolerances and surface roughness and/or welding symbols taking into account the manufacturing technologies and materials. The student can create in detail an assembly drawing, perfect bill of material and complete working drawings according his/her 3D-designs.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The Student can read and produce technical drawings knowing the general manufacturing technologies and materials. He/she can create a 3D-model and 3D-assembly out of the set of components.
