Objective
The students apply their knowledge of documentary production in the school's production environment. The students know the fundamentals of documentary directing. They can execute a short documentary film. The students can work as members of a production team and work in several professional roles during the production. The students can execute the shooting, lighting and field recording of a documentary film. They can execute the image and sound editing as well as other necessary post-production work. They are familiar with different release and distribution channels for a short documentary film and can compose a distribution plan. They can communicate and market their documentary.

Students have acceptable participation in class and complete the assignments to a satisfactory standard. They are acquainted with the fundamentals of documentary film directing. They can work as a part of a production team and work in some professional roles in the production. They participate in the shooting and lighting of the documentary film, as well as in the field recording of sound. They can satisfactorily execute the image and sound editing, as well as other post-production needed post-production tasks for a documentary film. They are familiar with different publication and distribution channels for documentary films.
