Objective

The course Secure Enterprise Networks describes the architecture, components, operations, and security to scale for large, complex networks, including wide area network (WAN) technologies. The course emphasises network security concepts and introduces network virtualisation and automation. On completion of the course students know how to configure, troubleshoot, and secure enterprise network devices and understand how application programming interfaces (API) and configuration management tools enable network automation.

Content

• OSPF routing protocol
• Security best practices
• Access control lists
• Network Address Translation (NAT)
• Remote access connections
• Scalable network architectures
• Quality of Service (QoS)
• Managing large networks
• Virtualisation, software-defined networking and automation

Evaluation scale

0-5
