If the student is unable to demonstrate a valid reason for their absence from the interrogation or renewal, the absence is considered a performance. A student does not have the opportunity to increase the grade on active participation in class or course assignments.

Further information
Artificial intelligence and assessed assignments
Artificial intelligence is forbidden to use in assignments that are graded in Finnish courses 1-4. Using artificial intelligence in assessed assignments is considered academic dishonesty. If a teacher suspects the use of artificial intelligence and the student cannot demonstrate their language skills, the student is considered to have acted dishonestly. In such cases, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences’ disciplinary guidelines are applied (Guidelines for the Handling of Disciplinary Matters at Metropolia UAS).
