Objective

On completion of the course students know the basic skills of programming and databases. Students are familiar with the tools and processes used in programming, and realize their importance in software production. Students are able to use version control as part of programming work.

Students become acquainted with mathematical-scientific concepts and tools that form the basis of engineering education. They understand the connection of these contents to different aspects of information and communication technology and are able to apply the methods they have learned in practical problem solving.

Students are able to act as active members of a project group and communicate in English appropriately in oral and written interaction situations typical for project work.

- Design and implementation of a small software project

- Basic concepts and laws of kinetics

Student is able to define the course concepts and models and is able to justify the analysis. Student is able to apply his/her knowledge in study and work situations. Student understands the importance of expertise in the field of information and communication technology and is able to analyze his/her own expertise.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student has achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks. Student masters commendably the course subject area’s concepts and models. Student is able to make justified and fluent analysis and to present concrete development measures. Student is well prepared to apply his/her knowledge in study and work situations.
