Objective
The student can solve exponential and logarithmic equations. The student can visualize and interpret statistical data. The student can calculate percentages and solve basic financial calculations.
The student can explain the concept of energy and define work, kinetic energy, potential energy, power and efficiency. The student can present the law of conservation of energy and work-energy principle and models energy conversion and transfer. The student can define density and pressure and describe the pressure distribution in liquid and gas. The student can present Archimedes' principle and apply it. The student knows how to use the most common temperature scales. The student can present the laws of thermal expansion and apply them. The student can model heat storage and changes of phases.
