Public Health Nursing of Schoolchildren and Young People (5 cr)

Objective

Student
- know how to plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based public health nursing of schoolchildren and students in a client-oriented way
- can use evidence-based knowledge on the growth and development of school-aged children and young people
- are able to evaluate and support the resources of a school-aged young person and his/her family as well as evaluate the need for increased support and extended services if necessary
- are able to use the effective and client-oriented health promotion work methods
- are proficient in working as experts of public health nursing in multi-actor school and student communities
- can utilize a research and development-minded approach in the operating environment of school and student health nurses

- resources and inclusion of school-age children, young persons and families

Opiskelija voi valita terveydenhoitajatyön ammattiopintoja, kun hän on suorittanut hyväksytysti sairaanhoitotyön ammattiopintoihin sisältyvät teoriaopinnot ja vähintään harjoittelut sisätautien ja kirurgian toimintaympäristöissä, ellei opiskelijan HOPSissa ole toisin sovittu.

Opiskelijalla on suorittanut hyväksytysti ennen opintojakson alkua:
- Terveyden edistämisen työmenetelmät ja rokottaminen opintojakso

Lisäksi suositeltavaa, että opiskelija on suorittanut Lasten ja perheiden terveydenhoitajatyön -opintojakson, jossa on suoritettu seulonnat.


HUOM: opintojaksoon liittyvät lääkelaskut tulee olla hyväksytysti suoritettuna ja laboraatiot tulee olla hyväksytysti suoritettuna ennen harjoittelua

Opiskelija vahvistaa paikkansa opintojaksototeutuksella olemalla läsnä opetuksen alkaessa tai muutoin opettajan
kanssa erikseen sovitulla tavalla, joka voi esimerkiksi olla ensimmäisen oppimistehtävän palautus. Jos opiskelija ei
sairauden vuoksi pysty osallistumaan opetuksen alkuun, hän voi myös vahvistaa opiskelupaikkansa ilmoittamalla siitä opettajalle etukäteen.

Qualifications

The student may choose professional studies of public health nursing after successfully completing the theoretical requirements of professional nursing studies as well as all the clinical practices in medical and surgical operating environments, unless otherwise agreed in the student's PSP.
