Objective
On completion of the course, the student

• The concept of innovation, development work management and building a development team
• Collaborative project and innovation work and assessment: brainstorming, future-oriented conceptualisation and design, customer and user understanding, contracts and copyrights, communicating, publishing, productisation, marketing and implementation planning
• Multidisciplinary teamwork, stakeholder activities and networking
• Innovation development tools and methods

Teaching methods
This is an intensive course that requires active participation throughout the course: 26.8. - 11.10.2024.

Some of the project challenges are supervised completely online and participation in them requires the use of a camera in Team or Zoom.
Student confirms his / her place in the course implementation by being present in the course orientation. If a student is unable to participate in the orientation due to illness, he / she confirms his / her place on the course implementation by sending a confirmation message to teacher in charge.
All students on this implementation participate in the event Landscapes of Possibilities 2nd of October at 8.00-16.00 at Myllypuro Campus. Participation in the event is mandatory for completing this implementation. Further information regarding event is given in the beginning of this implementation.

Project challenges are work-life related.
Available projects will be published in OMA in August 2024 before the implementation begins.
Registration for project is done with an eForm. Failure to register for the project may prevent participation to the course.

Content scheduling
Interactive and intensive study course, duration 7 weeks. Study days mainly from Mon-Thu (whole day).
Pre-assignment, instructions are in the newsletter in OMA before the course starts.
Registration for the projects will be done with e-form (e-lomake). Registration time will be announced in course announcements.

Joint orientation 26.8.2024
The first project-specific meeting will be announced in a project challenge description.
The first customer (=working life partner) meeting is on the first project week according to the project-specific timetable.
26.8. - 11.10.2024: Project work on Mondays-Thursdays.
Weekly meetings with your project lecturer on Mon-Thu. Meetings with the working life partners as agreed in a project.
MINNOFest. Project presentation festival 9.10.2024. Participation at MINNOFest is mandatory. Absence from MINNOFest is replaced according to instructions given by the coach.

All students on this implementation participate in the event Landscapes of Possibilities 2nd of October at 8.00-16.00 at Myllypuro Campus. Joint closing ceremony of the project MinnoFest.
The time of the feedback / evaluation discussion will be agreed with the supervisor. A good grade of an innovation project may enable the project to be continued as a thesis in a project on the same topic according to a separate agreement.
NOTE: You must have at least 60 ECTS in order to participate on this course.
