Objective
The student is able to apply kinematics and kinetics while assessing client’s movement. The student is able to describe the stages of running. The student is able to describe the function of lower extremity joints and muscles in running and understands the impact of trunk and upper extremity motions in running. The student understands ankle and foot functional anatomy and biomechanics in different phases of running. The student recognizes typical biomechanical anomalies in running technique and understands their impact on client’s performance and lower extremity injury risk. The student is able to perform movement analysis utilizing movement analysing technology.
The student is able to connect previously learned medical subjects together to serve practical differential diagnostics. The student is able to develop evaluation skills of a client’s general state as a part of general evaluation and treatment follow-up. The student is able to recognize dangerous “red flag” symptoms and direct the client to follow-up care.
